AE 402 - Audio Post for Video and Film -


A course in which students will demonstrate many of the specific audio skills necessary for working in the video post and film industries. Through detailed instruction, lab practice and various types of recording session experience pertaining to video and/or film projects, the student will learn the techniques of audio for recording/editing/mixing multi-track sessions specifically for the purpose of syncing to and creating the audio for video and film products. Techniques to be covered include dialog replacement, synchronization, spotting, foley, sound effects generation, music accompaniment, mixing stereo and 5.1 surround formats to picture, music videos and internet protocols, session protocol, and communication and client relations skills.
